In short

A website that installs on a phone like an app: home-screen icon, push notifications and offline mode — with no app store publication. Timeline: 14+ calendar days. Priced after a short brief.

What's included

  • Install without App Store or Play Market
  • Push notifications on iOS and Android
  • Offline mode via service worker
  • Data caching for speed
  • Fits CRMs, dashboards, e-commerce

A progressive web app is a website that behaves like an app: it can be installed on the home screen, opens full-screen, works with a poor connection and can send push notifications. There's no store review and no separate codebase — one web app serves desktop and mobile users alike.

When it's not enough: if you need deep access to device hardware, background processing, or presence in the App Store and Google Play as a marketing channel, look at a cross-platform app instead.

Who it's for

  • Online stores and catalogs that want repeat visits from a home-screen icon.
  • Internal tools, CRMs and dashboards used by staff on phones.
  • Services that need push notifications without building native apps.
  • Projects where store fees, review or delays are a problem.

How we work

  1. Audit. We check whether the existing site can become a PWA or whether parts need rebuilding.
  2. App shell and caching. A service worker with a caching strategy that keeps content fresh while making the app fast and usable offline.
  3. Installability. Manifest, icons and install prompts that work on Android and iOS.
  4. Push. Notifications with user consent, segmented and measurable.
  5. Testing. Real devices, slow networks, offline scenarios.

What to know about iOS

On iPhone, web push works only for PWAs that the user has added to the home screen, and the permission prompt has to follow a user action. Some device APIs available on Android are not supported in Safari. We design around these limits rather than discovering them after launch.

Timeline and cost

Development takes 14+ calendar days. Cost is estimated after a short brief and depends on whether we start from your existing site, the offline scenarios and push notifications.

Example

For example, for a field service company: technicians install the PWA on their phones, see today's jobs, update statuses even without coverage, and the data syncs when the connection returns.

What we need from you

Access to the current site or its code, the scenarios that should work offline, and what notifications you plan to send. For larger web products see web app development; after launch, web app support keeps it running.

FAQ

How is a PWA different from a regular website?
It can be installed on the home screen, opens full-screen, works offline thanks to caching and can send push notifications.
Do push notifications work on iPhone?
Yes, for PWAs the user has added to the home screen, and the permission request has to follow a tap or other user action.
Can you turn our existing site into a PWA?
Often yes. We audit the site first: sometimes adding a manifest, service worker and push is enough, sometimes parts need rebuilding.
Who is a PWA not right for?
Products that need deep device access, heavy background work, or a presence in the app stores as a channel.
Does it need app store publication?
No. Users install it straight from the browser.
